And as quickly as the U.S. tech industry rose to prominence, it will fall into obscurity. Unless the immigration laws are reformed quickly and incentives are created for smart people to move here. I'm not optimistic, given this nation's (apparently growing) level of xenophobia.

The Articles are Dying

I have noticed lately that fewer and fewer native English speakers can tell what's wrong with the sentence quoted below. It's painful to my inner ear and so awkward to try to say physically that I just can't understand how it's happening.

"A apple is on an table."

I wonder what's going on. Is it only in the U.S., or are they doing this kind of thing in Canada, England and beyond?
